Happy Valentines Day!

I've been dying to use my new Valentine stamps, to make some cute cards, and send some love to friends! Thankfully, a good friend of mine was in need of making a few cards herself - which was the perfect excuse to set some time aside and create away! AND the perfect excuse to make a trip to Impress to pick up some new and fun ink colors, papers and ribbons! She came over and we spent a few hours creating away - complete with screams and clapping when we created something we just couldn't STAND the cuteness of. LOVE friends like that! We easily could have spent a full day creating! I made about 20 cards, but kept it do 4 different designs. I had tons of more ideas but not the time to execute them = bummer! These puppies are in the mailbox today and making their way to some friends' homes and hearts.

My Summer Stamps at Impress

Yesterday, I swung by Impress in Tukwila to see their wonderful samples, and see if I could snap some pictures of any cards they made out of my latest stamps. I did some Spring images that I just love (and haven't blogged about yet...), and my Summer designs just hit! It was fun to see their store front display utilizing my designs of lemons, citrus slices, summer drinks, and flip flops!

One of the many things I love about Impress is their clean, modern take on stamping and paper crafts. Their company is infiltrated with talented people who dream up fantastic samples, classes, and new uses for the latest products. Their owners and employees are also very up-to-date with the latest trends in tools, supplies, colors and the like. Every time I go in there I just want to make beautiful stuff and find a reason to throw a party so I can hand-make the invites.

These citrus colors make me SO ready for Summer! I also love the combination of the graphic zigzag with the black & bright yellow.

New Valentine Stamps at Impress!

Last weekend I stepped into Impress in University Village, and took some pictures of the cards they made using my new Valentine stamps. It was so fun to chat with the girls working there that morning, and to see the different ideas they came up with using my stamps! It was really fun to see how they translated my sailboat stamp, as that was exactly how I pictured it!

What's really fun too, is that Impress is giving you more bang for your buck by creating some stamps to be two in one! For example, with the Sailboat Combo stamp, you get both the sailboat illustration AND the words, which are on the side of the stamp. For the Cross My Heart combo, you get the stitched, crossed argyle stamp AND the words 'cross my heart' on the side. Nice treat, huh?

My New Spring Stamps at Impress!

My new spring rubber stamp designs are out at Impress Rubber Stamps! Today I swung over to their University Village location, and in the window I saw the cards they made with my stamps, as well as large window decals of my designs. I about DIED! They did such a spectacular job!!

I went inside to see if I could sneak some pictures of the beautiful cards they made for their displays. After shyly explaining who I was and how I would love to take pictures of the cards they made out of my stamps, thankfully the girls were completely sweet and let me snap away!

The teams at Impress do such a BEAUTIFUL job creating their display samples! Their cards exemplify a great mix of modern style using the latest techniques, colors and doodads! I always love peeking inside their stores, and never leave empty handed.

Speaking of which, their annual ONLINE sale is April 1st - 11th, and for those who live in the Seattle area, their annual IN STORE spring sale April 15th - 18th! This includes all new spring goodies! Valentine Stamp Collection at Impress

Just a little note to say that the stamps I created for Impress Rubber Stamps are out, and ready to be used to make some beautiful Valentine cards for those you love! I'm planning on making some cards very soon, and will post pics when I do!

They included sayings on the side of the stamp with the cupcake "hey cupcake", and the slice of pie "hi cutie pie" - two stamps in one. How fun is that??

My New Christmas Rubber Stamp Designs at Impress Rubber Stamps

About two months ago I worked on some Christmas designs for Impress Rubber Stamps, and now they are in the stores and ready to ship! Christmas already you ask? Oh yes! This weekend I pulled out all of my old stamping supplies and went to town playing with the new images, which was a LOT of fun! After spending a few hours creating cards, I am now excited and ready for Christmas to come. I really enjoy working with my hands, and this weekend has been so refreshing to step away from my computer and create fun things while getting messy with ink and glitter. Note to self: do this more often!

Impress Rubber Stamps is a Seattle based company, and has been around since 1987. They have three retail locations in Seattle and ship their stamps all over the world. They were around before the scrapbook boom and were known for creating modern looking cards as well as using unique supplies and techniques before anyone else. I had the joy of working retail for Impress while I was in college, which was so much fun because I got to play with all the new stamps, supplies and papers, as well as test out new techniques in order to create cards for display. What a fun job, right? I continued working for them when I got out of college and started my career because it was such a fun experience that grew into designing artwork for their stamp line as well as teaching stamping classes. So working with them again after so many years was quite nostalgic and fun.

How many of you out there stamp and scrapbook? Do you make your own Christmas cards? Or if you don't do you plan to do so this year? Every year I used to make my own Christmas and Valentines day cards. I would design one and then buy all of the supplies and set-up my assembly line. I haven't done so for the past few years now, but perhaps sometimes in the years to come I will once again indulge in the creativity of working with my hands around the holidays.
